Backwards Thinking? February 22, 2011 OSKI
Alrighty, it's Tuesday, that means it's time for weekly Fiesta Maintenance!
If you're at all like me, not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, I always look forward to Tuesdays to see what new wrinkles OutSpark and OnsOnSoft throw at us this week. Exciting new content obviously can't come at us everyweek so oftentimes we're left with the semi-mundane, general housekeeping type of update, which is more or less what we have this week...
Finally! Leviathan's Nest - Warlock Set Completed
After literally months and hundreds of Leviathan's Nest runs, I've finally completed my Advanced Blast Set for my Warlock! The boots proved to be highly elusive, not saying it drops less than the other pieces, it was just the hardest for me to obtain. It was such a relief to see it finally drop, though I'm a little disappointed in how it looks. It doesn't quite match the rest of the armors....
The boots have a shine to them that looks far more metallic and is of a lighter color than the rest of the pieces. If it had been darker like the rest of the armor, it would have matched a bit more. I guess I'm nitpicking though. And the "panty" hat? Ugh, couldn't we have just gotten something like the Wizards?
Curious what the Male version looks like? Well here you go... it's um... different?
Guess this is another case of the female version of armor/costume looking better than its male counterpart. Okay first off, what's with the exposed chest? More akin to a Gladiator than a Warlock really. Those dragon-skin looking pants are alright, a bit form fitting... but the worst part is when you turn him around....
Okay! So what's with the target on his ass? Now this has me worried... does my cutesy girl Warlock suffer the same indignity as the male version?
Hmm... okay there's still a bullseye there, but at least it's closer to her hip. I can live with that. I hadn't seen it earlier because I usually have the Arctic Fox Tail covering up her backside. Excuse my huge sigh of relief.

On Vacation ... Yay!
Just wanted to let you guys know that I will be on vacation until February 15th. I had hoped to have a bunch of stuff written and set to autopost while I was gone, but I was far too busy at work trying to get ahead of my work. I do want to wish you all a happy and safe Super Bowl Weekend and also Valentine's Day.
Will miss you all....

A SuperBowl Background
Hey guys!
As most of you can tell, I've finally updated my background image. This is the fourth background change I've made, and first sort-of 'themed' design...
So who are you rooting for in Sunday's SuperBowl?
Me? Unfortunately the teams I root for didn't make it, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the Steelers! I don't care for Roethlisberger, but can't argue that the guy is a winner and a big-game QB. Personally, I like watching Polamalu... <3
A long time ago I noticed that those Magmatons tend to go down in a 3-point stance and always reminded me of football players while I was out and about shooting down Jewel Trees, so I figured this was the perfect time to let the boys play! As you can see, I couldn't fit an entire team of Magmatons in there, but it'll have to do! Unfortunately the body of my blog blocks the Magmatons, so at least you can get a better view of them here.
I even made 2 cute cheerleaders out of my noob mage to root their respective teams on to victory (complete with team colors and signature cheerleader suntan colored tights!)! What's odd though is that neither the Steelers nor the Packers actually have any cheerleaders! Blasphemy right? And at Cowboys Stadium! The very site (well the old stadium anyway) where the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader was Icon-alized! I guess the SuperBowl will be an eye-candy-free event for you guys.... but then again, you can probably just ogle all the babes in the commercials.
Fatal's Stone-cold, Lead-pipe Lock for this weekend:
Steelers 31 Packers 24.
Polamalu - 6 tackles and a forced fumble.
Book it.
Guest Blogger: Leapfrogging Mean Giant Honeying (MalauKnight)
I wanted to thank and welcome my second guest blogger, MalauKnight of Bijou for his Honeying KQ Tutorial. This tutorial write up actually dates back to 2008 when Malau had approached me about submitting this walk-through for the Fiesta Magazine. I gave him the okay, but things just didn't quite pan out back then and the feature never ran. But thankfully, we ran into each other again in-game and were able to put this together for all of you. |
