The Archer Rebalance - More on the Way?

Much has been made for nearly the last 3 years about how Archers really come up with the short end of the stick when it comes to many elements of gameplay.  Archer advocates speak of major tactical disadvantages in PvP (lack of damage, nearly identical evasion to fighters, effective evasion vs effective aim, lack of skills, etc) as well as a lack of a defined party role leaving Archers with almost no option other than to solo.  So with all of the grumbling, posturing, and debating from the player base, OutSpark asked OnsOnSoft to revisit the Archer class and attempt to put them back on par with the other two damage dealing classes.

Guest Blogger: Aerro's Path to Gold (Michelle_Aerro)

Hey everyone, I wanted to thank my first contributor/guest blogger, Michelle_Aerro.  She came up with the clever idea of seeing how quickly 1 Gold could be made starting from scratch.  She didn't get any assistance from other players, nor did she benefit from academy rewards.... she went from lint in her pockets, to her first gold in about 9 hours.  So how'd she do it?  Here's how:

Fun for the Day: A Lil Bit of Evil

You know, as a Cleric, you just get a lil bit sick and tired of all the "BUFF PLZ" as you try to make your way around town.  Can't a girl window-shop in peace without noobs swarming her?  So sometimes, you know, you want to placate them by just giving them their stupid buff and sending them on their way... but with a semi-evil twist.

Wahahaah.... the Buff-You-But-Don't-Heal-You technique!  Suck on that noobs!

How to be a Good Citizen of Isya

Yeah, maybe this is a bit of a funny topic as many of you kinda find this to be common sense, but to some, it really isn't.  Maybe it's cultural, maybe it has to do with age, upbringing, state of mind, or even just attitude, but there's a lot of just plain ol' rudeness going on don't you think?

A New Year, A New Guild - Presenting Bijou's UrbanDecay!

Click the image to open in full size.

Welcome to the UrbanDecay Recruitment Page!

Many of you on Bijou already know me, know what I'm about, and hopefully this guild will be a reflection of those values. If you don't know who I am, I offer you this opportunity to get to know me and my fellow guildies in UrbanDecay.

As of this moment, we are a modest level 60+ guild with hopes for an active academy system that does NOT farm points strictly for the buff time. I do offer help in the form of advice and guidance and will monitor the progress of the academy closely. Successful, witty, and personable academy graduates may be offered a position within the main guild upon graduation.

That being said, I'm not looking to be a dominant guild at this point, but rather work on building relationships and a foundation of solid players and citizens. I would like to improve the knowledge and skill base of the server through my guild. I want our guild leading the way at all points in-game by demonstrating a solid skillbase, humility, and a set-the-example attitude.

Higher leveled players are welcome to join and help me foster my vision of a better Bijou, relax, chat, find common ground, and make new friends. Previous guild alliances and affiliations will not be factored as each individual will be judged on their own merit.

Ideally, I would like players of all levels within UrbanDecay or the UD Academy. Hopefully those that are at prestige can give guidance and inspiration to those that are making that climb. As well as those that are in the guild encourage those that are in the academy.

So, if you're interested, please post here or send me a private message. PMs will be kept confidential if requested.

Also, those of you from other servers wishing to make the jump to Bijou, you're more than welcome to take up residence with us.
