Fortress of Shadows Kingdom Quest - 2 Viewpoints
Since not all of you that visit my blog have experienced the 10x Kingdom Quest: Fortress of Shadows, I figured I'd record it for you. Yeah I know there are other YouTube vids out there of this, but hey, you'd rather watch mine right? *exerts mind control*
So the first one is a run through with my SharpShooter, she's currently 107 (non-leveling), using +10 Ashur Bow (Malephar), and +0 Ashur Hat, Pants, and Boots, along with a +0 Blind Shot (Lab) shirt. She also has 2 +9 Paradise Rings, a +3 Blessed Necklace and a +9 Aquamarine Gem Earring. No active SparkCash items on her, Honeying shirt and hat are both statless and permanent. Also using her typical complement of T4 Scrolls including Speed.
This KQ is really fun on an Archer if you are able to survive/evade the hits from the mobs being kited. If you are skillful enough, you can dictate the pace in the two stages prior to Kalban Obeb's arrival. Just be careful not to get too overzealous and end up training everyone! See screenshot below from a previous, fiendish-Faytal KQ.
The second run is with my Warlock. She's 105 (also non-leveling) using a +10 Storas Wand (Lab), and +0 Khoolin (Malephar) Shirt and Boots, paired with +0 Electronic Shock (Lab) Pants and Hat. For accessories, she's using 2 +9 Paradise Rings, a +9 Blessed Necklace, and a +0 Aquamarine Gem Earring. Only active SparkCash item on her is a Summer Boop set. She's wearing only the pants from the set along with a Team Korea Soccer uniform (permanent and statless). Her Arctic Fox Ears and Tail are also permanent and statless.
This video gives a great view of what's buggy about this KQ. That first entry room, the Skeleton Archers spawn in the correct place, but they used to jump down from the tops of the walls. Now they just stay up there (which strategically makes more sense) and are unable to be attacked except for Mage AOEs. That far wall has I think about 25 Archers, not many people can survive a volley from them if they all target you.
As you watch the video, you'll notice how much aggro the +10 Storas Wand generates. I don't know whether or not the Fighters are using aggro generating skills or not, but I keep pulling aggro and have to stay highly mobile even using Metamorphosis as an escape if the situation gets really bad.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed both videos, I could do one on the HolyKnight, but Cleric videos are pretty boring unless you want to just see the pretty, new animations.

Dragon's Tomb Solo - Mage's Revenge
Whoops! Forgot to post this... Well anyway, those of you that are subscribers to my YouTube Channel probably already saw this, but this was a follow up video to my earlier Dragon's Tomb - Mage Solo Video.
This was my first recorded solo kill of Titan. Again, these runs were done without SparkCash. No Extenders, Charms, (beneficial) Costumes, Weapon Skins, etc. This was also done without the use of Blue (Set) Armors. This Mage is still wearing the same equipment she had in the last video.
So yeah, enjoy the video, stick around for the outtake!

Ask Fatal: Dragon's Tomb Edition (Damage Dealing - Mage)
Since our last Ask Fatal: DT Edition had to do with Tanking, let's explore the next job, Damage Dealing. I set this one up more like a Q & A... maybe it's a bit more interesting this way? At least it's conversational =)
Q: So what about Damage Dealing in Dragon's Tomb? I just blow $#@!$ up right?
A: So to speak, yes, but there's more to it than just that.
Q: But I'm a Mage, I drop Nova, I drop lag-hell (Inferno), and I'm done aren't I? I AM MAGE I KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLL STUFF!
A: Here's where it gets a bit more complicated than you realize. Yes, the primary job of the Damage Dealing Mage is to unleash torrents of hell on the mobs, but the Mage also has an often overlooked secondary role, defense.

Mage Solo AOE'ing - Revisited (Mover Pulling Vs. Speed Scrolls)
Alright young Mage, so you just hit 60 and you want to maximize your time by solo AOE'ing right? You want to use that brand new Frost Nova to crush your foes beneath a mountain of ice, right? But, you're still kinda noobish and are unsure how to best accomplish this.... well I have two options for you.

Conquering Dragon's Tomb - Clearing Mobs & MiniBoss Solos (Mage)
Doing the Dragon's Tomb instance dungeon is still one of my favorite activities in Fiesta. I've now gone through DT with all four original classes, Trickster coming soon. By far, my favorite class to take through DT is the Mage. While I oftentimes leave pacing up to the Tank as I don't want to overburden him, it's quite evident that for the most part, a Tank isn't really necessary, at least not until the end. However, getting from start to finish (just before Cornelius) is oftentimes a good measure of the worth of the Tank in your party. Same can be said for your Cleric.
(Sorry about the audio, looks like the music I selected has been blocked. Will have to re-work this at a later time... though I think if you go to my YouTube channel and select the video, the audio is still there. Still, I don't want to use a workaround and get myself in trouble, so new audio is on the way!)

Stupidly Easy Part II - A Naked Mage? The Level 20 Promo Dissected
Alright, so the naked Cleric experiment wasn't all that impressive, I mean I have three options to heal myself, Heal skill, HP Potion, and HP Stone... so being naked wasn't all that bad, plus I had a shield. So what if I didn't? And what if I went one step massively further and upped the ante by going with the squishiest of them all? Think it can still be done sans armor? Let's find out!
Okay, now to be completely honest, I tried this promotion probably over 10 times testing various methods and sort of practicing. Each time I gained a bit more insight into what I can take away or handicap myself further with. And here is what I came up with....

Ask Fatal: Simple Questions With Not So Simple Answers
Time for another round of questions.... These are mostly questions that I've gotten asked in my chat box that I just can't answer in such a limited amount of space... So here are a few I figure I'd tackle today since the servers were down.

Controlled Mayhem Part II: Defining Your Playstyle (Mage)
Much of what you do and what you hope to accomplish is based upon your own playstyle. This playstyle is defined as a combination of your personality, your goals, and oftentimes, your access to both in-game gold and SparkCash.
You could have the never-say-die Heart of a Champion, but if you don't have the financial back up, you'll fall short of achieving your goals. Simply put, Mages need a steady flow of money to be extremely successful.
As you already know, Mages by nature are extremely fragile, a stiff wind can probably wipe out 25% of your HP. So in order to make up for those deficiencies, a Mage must earn enough money to be able to both solo and party comfortably.

Controlled Mayhem: A Mage's Path (Part 1 - Know Thyself)
(Still a work in progress, but at least you guys know I'm working on something!)
As often as I get asked about Archers, I probably get double or triple the amount of advice requests from Mages. From people in our academy, to random people I meet in Elderine, to even those that write me on the forums, aspiring Mages are always on the lookout for more information or a little help in choosing the right path. And really, I don't mind it at all. I'm happy to share what I know about the class while also hearing their side and considering their reasons for their differences from what I consider 'normal'.

Busy Busy Busy
Wow a post! xD
Sorry to have been lax on my posting recently, I've just been really busy and excited about the new repeatable quests that OutSpark added in last week's maintenance. These quests were really what I needed to get motivated and finally get my Warlock's butt to 105.
And guess what? I did it!
I was so excited to finally be able to wear a new set of armors, the pixel obsessed part of me is satisfied!, get some great new skill upgrades, and twirl around a fancy new wand!

Fatal's Mailbag - What's a Good Non-Cleric Duo?
I get messages from time to time asking me random questions about the game or even about myself or my experiences within Fiesta. So why not answer these 'common' gameplay questions here on my blog? So here we go!
Hi, I'm Winter. I'm new to the game, while browsing the forums I saw that you seemed to be well educated about the game.
I plan to play on the Bijou server, where it so happens to be the same place where you reside.
Well it'd be nice to chat with you ig but when I logged on you were no where to be found lol.
Anyways I have a few questions.
What's a good duo that does NOT involve a cleric?
Sorry to take your time.
